JUSTIN MACALA Chicago-born photographer Justin Macala has a degree in English Literature and previously dreamed of being a screenwriter or a film director, but an unexpected left turn for a year as an architectural photographer ultimately resulted in a happy landing as a fashion photographer in Miami, currently a wandering gypsy patrolling Los Angeles.
ROBERT VOLTAIRE Photographer Robert Voltaire is a self-taught, American photographer splitting his time between New York and Los Angeles. He fell into photography accidentally after receiving a camera as a Christmas present. Robert draws his inspiration from images in movies, passages in literature, museum works and magazine editorials. His editorial clients include Vogue, Vanity Fair, Esquire, GQ and treats! Magazine.
ARTHUR BELEBEAU Photographer Arthur Belebeau was born and raised in Paris 1972 to Jean- Paul Belebeau & Agnes Kentish. Both of whom were creative director’ s in advertising. Arthur first became interested in photography at the age of 8 when he was given his first Polaroid camera and later became inspired by photographers such as Penn, Bourdin, Newton, Brandt and Avedon. His favorite subject is beauty and fashion accessories, he’ s known for creating bright and graphic series for both editorial and advertising with clients such as Vanity fair, Glamour, Self, Marie- Claire, InStyle, Cosmopolitan, Elle, Travel & Leisure, Town & Country, Sally Hansen, L’ Oreal, Bloomingdales, Sephora, Macy’ s and more.“ I source my inspiration in everything and everyone. Little details of my surrounding can give me ideas. For me Inspiration cannot be pushed or rushed. It is a process”
KATHRYN EISMAN Writer Kathryn Eisman is the international bestselling author of‘ How To Tell A Man By His Shoes’ and‘ How To Tell A Woman By Her Handbag’, a humorist and pioneer in the Psychology of Style. She is a two-time Emmy ® nominated television journalist covering pop culture, formerly as the Head of Fashion and Lifestyle for E! News and the Chief Features Reporter for NBC in New York. Born in Sydney, Australia, Kathryn began her career as a model and has penned columns for CLEO, Men’ s Health and had her writing featured in Vogue, The New York Times and
Cosmopolitan. She has a two-year-old daughter, who she would never ever allow to pose hanging from a meat hook naked. Seriously.
WANDA ORME An artist, model & writer. Born on the Isle of Man to a rock’ n’ roll model turned publisher mother and a Cambridge educated Engineer father, she was raised in London, lost in California and now lives and works in New York City. Along the way she picked up Master’ s Degrees in Anthropology and Psychology where she focused on the study of vulnerability. A classically trained dancer, she began modeling when she moved to New York and has been featured in Lui Magazine, S Magazine, and treats!, among others. Wanda Orme frequently collaborates with photographer Marian Sell, and together they are regular treats! contributors. For this issue Wanda had the pleasure of writing about several extraordinary women and their role as muses to some of the great photographers of the 20th Century.
